Winchester 1894 38-55

Buyer's premium:

Manufactured in 1901. The rifle is fitted with a Lyman blade front sight and an adjustable buckhorn rear sight with the elevator stamped with a 1901 patent date. The top barrel flat is stamped with the two line New Haven address and 1894 patent date ahead of the rear sight and "38-55" at the breech. The upper tang is stamped "MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. AUG. 21 1894" and the underside of the frame has the serial number. Blue finish with casehardened hammer, lever, and buttplate. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a metal forend cap and crescent buttplate. The rifle remains in very good mechanical and cosmeticappearance. Please see the photos.
