Frequently Asked Questions - Accurate Gun Auctions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a buyer’s premium?

Buyer’s Premium fee that is charged to winning bidders to help defray auction house expenses & costs. The Buyers Premium is 15% for Cash/Certified Funds payers and 18% for Credit Card payers. The Buyers Premium is added to each invoice.

Do I pay taxes on the lot?

In most cases no. However if the item is being picked up at our location or shipped to a Florida address then taxes do apply. All other cases there is no sales tax.

Can I purchase firearms at auction and have them shipped to my home?

If you bid on items that are antique, we can release the firearms to you or ship directly to you. If you are bidding on an item that is manufactured after 1898 and do not hold an FFL, we would have you fill out the standard ATF form 4473 if you live within Florida. Handguns must be shipped to an FFL dealer for these states, and we can help you find one if you do not use one currently. If you live outside this area, or do not fill out the ATF form 4473, we will ship to an FFL licensed dealer of your choice and they will transfer the gun to you. Be sure to check your state requirements on firearm ownership before placing a bid. If you have any questions about the ATF form 4473 or regulations on transferring firearms please contact us.

I am located outside the USA, may I bid?

Yes, please identify with an export FFL prior to bidding or we can recommend one.

How do you ship your items?

Our current primary shipping provider is UPS. An additional charge applies for shipping. We try to keep shipping costs as low as possible. Shipping costs will be added to your invoice where applicable or you can make your own arrangements. Note local FFL receiving fees may also apply.

Do you accept returns?

Please note that all sales are final. This policy is in place due to the specific nature of firearms transactions, which involve strict regulatory compliance and considerations.

Can I donate my firearm to charity?

Yes, you can send us your firearm to auction off and we can send the proceeds to your favorite charity in your name.

How does my Gun Shop or FFL contact you for shipping my firearm?

How long does it take to get paid for my auction item?

Can I pick up my item at your office?
