The Springfield Armory XD-M Elite Tactical Semi-Auto Pistol in Desert FDE is an enhanced version of the standard XD-M pistol that improves ergonomics and accuracy for a tac-ops-ready powerhouse. The ergonomic design of Springfield XD-M Elite Tactical pistol gets you on target quickly and keeps you on target during rapid fire. 3 interchangeable backstraps allow you to customize the grip to the size of your hand. Aggressive mega-lock texturing provides a secure grasp of the weapon in adverse conditions, and enhances control while firing. Long, deep slide serrations offer a solid, non-slip hold on the slide when loading or clearing the weapon, while an optics-ready slide cut (adapter plate not included) readily accepts most handgun compatible optics for superior sight acquisition. 3-dot, suppressor-height steel sights easily cowitness with any attached optics, and an integral 3-slot rail on the frame allows the attachment of aftermarket tactical accessories. The extended, threaded, hammer-forged match grade barrel boasts a Melonite finish and a fully supported and polished feed ramp. The Match Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META) offers a consistent, crisp trigger pull, drastically improving control and reducing anticipation. A grip safety blocks the weapon from firing unless the safety is depressed, which happens naturally when the pistol is held correctly, and automatically disconnects the trigger when your hold is released. An articulated safety lever built into the trigger blade backs up the grip safety. A loaded chamber indicator and striker status indicator give both visual and tactile indication whether the gun is loaded and ready to fire in any lighting condition.
