Lot 17140:
J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY Little Scout 14 1/2 .22 Long
Take a look at this great little piece of history. The Stevens 14 1/2 was introduced in 1911 and listed in their catalog until at least 1935. It was considered a "boy’s rifle" and was of a basic rolling block design. It sold for only $3.00 when first introduced, but like all Stevens rifles, it was well-made, accurate, and a solid value. The earlier versions had case-hardened receivers and were roll-marked "Stevens Arms and Tool" (until 1916). After 1916, the rollmark changed to "Stevens Arms Company". This rifle is in good condition showing normal signs of use and wear. Please see photos.
