Sharps New Model 1859 Carbine .52 BP
Sharps rifles are a series of large-bore, single-shot, falling-block, breech-loading rifles, beginning with a design by Christian Sharps in 1848 and ceasing production in 1881.The Sharps New Model 1859, introduced in that year, was available as a carbine, and in round-barrel military rifle or octagonal-barrel sporting rifle versions. This rifle is in very good condition and appears to function. The barrel does have some pitting. Please see the photos
