The Rifle No. 5 Mk I, nicknamed the "Jungle Carbine" for its use in jungle warfare, was a bolt action carbine derivative of the British Lee?Enfield No. The rifle is stamped ?US property?, ?5 NO.1 MK1?, and ?C.A.I. Georgia, VT? on the left side of the receiver. The rifle appears to function as designed and is chambered in .303. The firearm is in very good condition, showing normal signs of use and wear.
