This 1939 K98 Mauser -manufacturers code 243 – Mauser Werke AG, Borsigwalde, serial numbers match on barrel and action #5947. The bolt looks to be an amours replacement (no number), but all the small parts of bolt match with serial #4764. The stock is in excellent condition, barrel has strong lands and grooves and the metal finish is warn. Considering the age and year – with only 237,661 manufactured – this rifle is in great condition. This is not a Russian Capture or an Import Stamped rifle. Please see photos.
