Spain Mauser 93 7x57MM
With an overall length of 43.25, the front sight is an inverted V post set atop a small raised base. The rear sight is a V notched blade when down. When flipped up it is a sight ladder with a sliding V notched blade. The two piece hardwood stock has a straight grip, nose cap with bayonet lug, hole for the missing cleaning rod, barrel band with sling loop, a sling loop under the butt and a metal buttplate. The buttplate shows thinning and light surface erosion. The bottom of the buttplate is proud of the wood. The rear of the handguard is missing its metal cap and small pieces of edge wood. The stock shows numerous scrapes, scratches, and compression marks. Several of the marks have damaged small portions of the surface wood. The grooves are dark. This rifle has lost its metal finish. The metal shows scrapes, surface erosion, and a brown patina. Please see photos.
