The Remington "Nylon Series" of .22 caliber rifles were made from 1959 to 1989 in several versions and were one of the earliest mass-produced rifles to feature a stock made from a material other than wood. The DuPont Zytel 101 (Nylon) stock could operate without any added lubricants which was desirable in cold hunting situations. The first Remington bolt-action nylon rifle was the Nylon 11, which was only made from 1962 to 1964 with a total of 22,423 produced. It was fitted with a 6-shot metal detachable magazine, squared (slab-sided) stock and a butter-knife Mannlicher-style bolt handle. This Nylon 11 is in excellent condition showing normal signs of use and wear. Please see photos.
