Buyer's premium:

"During 1936, Brazil began to modernize the weapons being fielded by their Armed Forces. One of the goals of the modernization program was to adopt a standard caliber; the .45 ACP cartridge was chosen. .45 ACP, double-action revolver built on the square butt N frame with 5 screws, 5/1/2"" pinned barrel, blue finish, fixed sights consisting of 1/10"" forged round blade front sight, rear sight is a notch cut into the top strap, supplied with half moon clips and a lanyard ring. There were two separate contracts for the Model 1917/1937 revolvers. This pistol is likely part of the 2nd shipment which occurred in 1946, but would need to be confirmed with a factory letter, as the serial number falls slightly outside the known range for that shipment. Lanyard ring missing. Overall in very good condition for its age, with a bright bore."
