Springfield Armory M1 Garand .30 M1
M1 Garand, a Springfield Armory Garand in 30-06, serial number 960347. This is a November 1942 rifle. Interestingly, it is in a stock that has a Danish troop tag attached. The sad part is that it lists a different serial number, 2470461. The stock is also stamped with that number. The barrel on this rifle is a replacement Marlin barrel with drawing number 6535448. This rifle is an interesting piece, with a mix of parts on it. The fact that it is such an early gun with a replacement barrel from the 1950s but has a Danish troop tag in the stock is truly interesting. This is truly a gun that you wish could talk.
