Springfield 1878 .45/70
The Springfield Model 1878 is a percussion cap rifle with a shortened firing pin. It is also known as the U.S. Model 1878 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle and is a .45-70 caliber weapon. This 1878 was manufactured 1884 between January and March based on the serial number. The rifle is in very good condition, showing normal signs of use and wear. Please see the photos
