Colt Us Army Model 1901 .38
In 1889 Colt introduced the New Navy Model 1889, which was the world’s first double action, swing-out cylinder revolver. It was made as both a US Navy and commercial gun. This revolver originally would have been a MODEL 1896. The lanyard ring in the butt was added when upgraded in 1901 and at that time the butt was cleaned of numbers and remarked with original serial number and MODEL 1901. This revolver dates back to 1895 and features the RAC stamp as well as the military issued 6.5” barrel. This revolver is in Very good condition for its age, shows normal signs of use and wear.
