The Arisaka NVI Type 99 Last Ditch, produced in the final stages of World War II, features simplified construction to meet wartime shortages. Chambered in 7.7mm, it retains the distinct Arisaka action but with reducedmachining and quality. Manufactured primarily in 1945, it is known for its use by Imperial Japanese forces during the Pacific War. The "Last Ditch" rifles were intended as a final measure in defense against Allied forces, embodying Japan’s desperation in the war’s closing months. Please see photos.
