Winchester 1892 25-20 WCF
With a total production run of 90,750, this Winchester 1892 was manufactured in 1896 and is classified as an ANTIQUE FIREARM. Considered a "classic" cowboy rifle with a shorter barrel and stock sometimes referredto as a "Mare’s Leg." It features a full size tubular magazine under the 24” octagon barrel chambered in 25-20 WCF.The .25-20 WCF (Winchester center fire), intermediate cartridge was developed around 1895 for theWinchester Model 1892 lever action rifle. It was based on necking down the .32-20 Winchester. In the early 20th century, it was a popular small game and varmint round. This rifle remains in very good mechanical andcosmetic condition.
