Lot 17045:
Remington Model 10A 12 GA
The Remington Model 10 is a pump-action shotgun designed in 1908 by John Pedersen for Remington Arms. It has an internal striker within the bolt and a tube magazine which loaded and ejected from a port in the bottom of the receiver. The Remington Model 10 shotgun represents a time when shotgun advancement for repeating firearms was happening at lighting speed. First developed in 1908, it was used by the United States in World War 1 as a ?trench gun? with shortened barrels. It became the first pump shotgun to use a bottom-ejecting style action. A model 17 in 20-gauge was introduced soon after. The shotgun?s legacy would go on until the Remington Model 29 was introduced in 1930. This shotgun comes with an additional 30 inch barrel. THis barrel is in excellent condition showing normal signs of use and wear. Please see photos.
