In 1915 John Browning patented a pump-action shotgun with the following features: hammerless, under-loading, tubular-magazine, bottom-ejecting, and take-down. This design would eventually become the Remington Model 17. Chambered in 20 ga and featuring a 26” this model 17 has a serial number of 3438, making it a very early production model. The shot gun does show signs of age, but appears to function smoothly. Please see photos.
