Accurate Gun Auctions is a licensed, FFL-compliant firearms auction service in Clearwater, FL (serving Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, and all of Florida). We help gun owners sell firearms safely through professional online auctions—no direct buyer-seller chats, no Telegram/WhatsApp/any third-party apps, and never any post-sale “extra fees” for shipping or anything else.
We DO NOT:
- Use Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, Facebook Messenger, or any messaging apps for sales, quotes, payments, or communication.
- Sell firearms directly to buyers (we run auctions for consignors/sellers).
- Request additional money after an initial transaction (e.g., fake “shipping upgrades,” customs, taxes, or FFL fees).
- Operate under slightly different names like “Accurate Firearms” for retail sales.
Common Scam Tactics We’ve Seen Reported:
- Scammers create fake Telegram channels/groups or websites mimicking gun dealers/auction houses (sometimes using names like “Accurate Firearms” or variations).
- They post listings for guns at attractive prices, take payment via untraceable methods, then demand more money for “shipping,” “transfer fees,” or “insurance.”
- Victims are told to contact via Telegram only, avoiding official sites/phone.
- Fake sites may copy our logo, address, or FFL claims to seem legitimate.
If This Sounds Like Your Experience: You’ve almost certainly encountered impersonators pretending to be us or a similar business. We have zero involvement in these scams.
What to Do If You’ve Been Contacted:
- Stop all communication and do not send more money.
- Report the scammer: To Telegram (in-app report), FTC at ftc.gov/complaint, IC3 at ic3.gov, and your local law enforcement if funds were lost.
- Contact us directly to verify: Call 844-486-3325 (Mon-Fri, 10 AM–5 PM) or email info@accurategunauctions.com. Provide details (e.g., Telegram handle, fake site URL) so we can track and report patterns.
- Report fake sites/profiles: If they use our name/images, send us links for DMCA takedown assistance.

Additional Implementation Tips
- Add to other pages: Put a shorter version (2-3 sentences + link to full page) in footer, About/Contact, Sell Guns/legal pages, and blog sidebar.
- SEO boost: Meta title: “Scam Alert | Accurate Gun Auctions – No Telegram, No Extra Fees | Clearwater FL” Meta description: “Beware of impersonators using Telegram scams in gun sales. Accurate Gun Auctions does not use messaging apps or request extra payments. Verify here.”
- Google Business Profile: Add a “Business Update” or post with a shortened version of this alert (Google allows links to your site). Pin it if possible. Respond to any future reviews mentioning concerns with a polite redirect to this page.
- Blog synergy: Link this page from existing blog posts on scam avoidance (e.g., Florida private sales guide) to create internal links and authority.
Publish this ASAP—it’ll generate fresh, keyword-rich content (“accurate gun auctions scam”, “accurate gun auctions telegram”) that Google will index quickly, helping bury the old Reddit post. Share the new page on your socials (if you have X/Facebook) with hashtags like #GunSafety #AvoidScams #FloridaGuns #TampaFirearms.
If you implement and want tweaks (e.g., shorter version for homepage banner), or need content for a blog post next, just let me know!
