Remington Rolling Block 50-70
With an overall length of 52" a family of breech-loading rifles that was produced from the mid-1860s into the early 20th century. The action was extremely strong, and could easily withstand the increased pressure of the new smokeless powders. These have always fascinated me, because they are such an important part of Remington’s history, and frankly the history of the world. They’re interesting and frustrating to collect and a lot of fun to reload for – and shoot. Please see photos.
