The Colt Official Police is a double-action revolver with a medium frame and a six-round cylinder that was originally released in 1908 as the Colt Army Special. In 1927, the name was changed to "Colt’s Official Police" to better market it to law enforcement agencies. This Revolver indicates (SN:518361) that it was made at that time (1927) The revolver is primarily chambered for the .38 Special cartridge and became one of the most popular police firearms of all time. This Revolver is in Good condition showing its age and wear. Please see photos.
