MAUSER WERKE OBERNDORF a/ 98 8mm
1944 Mauser K98k 8mm bolt action rifle. Manufacturer?s code BYF, serial number 12833 stamped on receiver, bolt is unnumbered and is an armorer?s replacement bolt. Firing Proofs Nazi-style eagles Acceptance Stampswaffenamts w/Nazi-style eagles. Rifle has hooded front sight, cleaning rod and original leather sling. Upper/lower bands, trigger guard, floor plate and follower are un-numbered which is typical for late warrifles. Metal finish machined is blued on action and barrel, laminated stock is in excellent condition. Great example of a late war Mauser. Rifle also includes an original K98k bayonet serial number G3724 factory code clc44, (Richard Abr. Herder, 1941/44) and original scabbard serial number 6805 factory code 44 ffc, (Friedrich Abr. Herder und Sohne, 1941/44).
